Our Mission
Sacred Dunes Community Outreach is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and strengthening the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of Indiana’s first responders and veterans. We recognize that first responders and veterans routinely face chronic stress, cumulative trauma exposure, physical injury, and extraordinary occupational demands that can create significant barriers to long-term health and recovery. Our mission is to reduce those barriers by providing accessible, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care that supports resilience, healing, and sustainable wellness throughout a first responder’s or veteran’s life.

Through coordinated, integrative programming, Sacred Dunes Community Outreach offers licensed mental health services—including talk therapy, EMDR, and neurofeedback—alongside acupuncture for pain management, sleep disruption, stress regulation, and trauma-related symptoms. We further support physical recovery and nervous system regulation through therapeutic massage, as well as mindfulness practices, yoga, breathwork, and stress-management education designed specifically for high-stress service professions and military service experiences.
All services are delivered by licensed and credentialed professionals who understand the unique culture and challenges of first responder work and military service. Programs are offered at low or no cost through community partnerships, grants, and donor support to ensure care is accessible without financial burden. Sacred Dunes Community Outreach is committed to ethical practice, fiscal transparency, and measurable impact, with a singular purpose: to care for those who serve, protect, and defend our communities every day.
